We bought a high anxiety model for our lab mix who hurt herself trying to break out of a wire kennel. A receptionist at our vet actually recommended these. We left our lab home alone on hers and she was safe and didn’t get hurt. We decided we’d get collapsible ones for our Boston terrier who has bad anxiety that triggers his focal seizures and for our frenchton . We now have 3, 1 high anxiety stationary model and 2 collapsible ones. The high Anxiety model wasn’t the most fun to put together. 😅 However the collapsible ones were a piece of cake and didn’t require instructions. Easy to figure out and only required one person. They also make the space look a lot better than the wire kennels we had. 10/10 recommend.

We have a variety of dogs in our home from anxious German shepherds to a golden retriever pup to a Belgian mal, so they can be a handful at times. We have 3 impact crates and they have been amazing, they were relatively easy to put up and haven’t shown just about any sign of wear, one of our highly anxious pups still whines some but even she has been doing significantly better since we got her a little impact home. The only downside I have seen so far is they are like jeeps (for anyone who has had one knows) they are accessory money pits, sadly the price tag is only for the crate itself so you still have to get something for them to lay on find third party food and water bowls that won’t get knocked over and things like that as the vendor doesn’t have clip on water bowls but Etsy does? The crate itself though is fantastic just know what you’re getting and what you’ll still need.

I have now purchased two collapsible crates from Impact. When our dog was a puppy, we were told he was a Great Dane/Lab mix and we bought the 48” collapsible. At that age, he never really took to the crate and loved it, but I was comforted by the fact that he could not hurt himself, chew wire bars, or break out of it.
As he grew, we realized that we should have bought the 54” option. We tried to phase out the crate, but after a couple things (pillows, tchotchkes) were chewed up, we realized it was still necessary. We sold the 48”, and purchased the 54”.
After placing our order, we received an email from the staff confirming that we really wanted the largest option they made, as it was made to order and would cost quite a bit to return if it wasn’t the size we were looking for. Within minutes of my reply, the order was processing. I really appreciated the confirmation, their customer service is above and beyond.
The 54” crate, shown in the photo, is my dogs personal hotel. It is easy to pack away, but very sturdy, and his own private space. These days, we find him going in on his own to relax, sleep and have “me” time. When we leave the house, I am confident he is safe and secure, and to a much lesser extent, so are our pillows.

I have accidentally opened a dog rescue. I have a German Shepherd/ Belgian Malinois mix who has special needs. This is the perfect crate for him. This is the last one I will ever buy for him. He screams when another dog goes in and it is his personal space. He loves it. I highly recommend it to anyone. Now I have a foster pup who became fast friends with my pup. She loves the crate too. (For some reason he invites her in to hang out. ) We told her to go to her crate. We could not find her for a bit, but found her in the very back of his crate hoping to stay in it. I think that says a lot for this crate. Now I was going to say my dog loves it, but it looks like this will be my go to crate until the end of time. More than one dog approves of this crate. I will likely be buying more of these wonderful crates.
