Location: Fort Myers, Florida
Performance: Beni ran strong and took second place after a heated race. His performance showcased the attributes of a Greyhound. His speed and willingness to compete with other dogs were impressive and deserving of a second-place finish.

Name: Salt
Registered Name: Perla Avalon Noblehouse Midnight Margarita JC CAA FCAT
Breed: Borzoi
Owner: Kirbie Allen
Location: Tupelo, Missouri
Performance: Salt performed strongly to make it into the top three. His agility and determination were impressive. His speed in the 100-yard dash made him a quick dog with incredible athleticism.
The Special Heat Winners
The breeds of the winning Special Heat participants achieved the fastest times in their respective specialties. Winners were also recognized for their performances in specialized events during the allotted time. All winners performed extraordinarily well and showed impressive speed and talent.

The Production and Coverage of the Event
The 2023 AKC Fastest Dog USA was a fantastic showcase of speed and skill. It was a collaboration between AKC and ESPN. The event was invitation only and featured dogs that had raced throughout the year in AKC Fast Coursing Ability Tests (Fast CAT). Their journey concluded with the highly respected 100-yard dash.
